Accident The instant I awaken I know something is wrong. The remnant of the morphine numbs my body and dulls my mind, pulling me into a dreamlike state. I feel lighter somehow, probably because of my sand-filled gallbladder, which is most likely off floating in a jar somewhere, no longer inside of me. Groggily, I try to sit up, but my body refuses to follow orders, so I simply lay on the bed. As my mind sharpens, so does the pain in my abdomen. Something feels different, wrong somehow, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Feeling returns to my hands, which I attempt to move. Success! I run my fingers over myAccident
